Bailey walked around the Tardis as she waited for the sixth doctor to return to her. What could be taking him so long? He only left to check the weather outside. She thought as she circled once more. Finally getting too antsy to stay put, Bailey looked down at the controls. "The Doctor told me never to touch you without him saying to.." She said to herself before she looked out the open Tardis door. Shaking her head, she pushed the closest lever to her up. She let her blonde hair fall from its pony tail and looked around. The door closed behind her, but nothing else changed. With a coy little smile, Bailey quickly pushed a button. Music started to blare from the top of the machine as she watched in wonder and delight. She knew that she wouldn't be able to fly the Tardis perfectly, but she could dream. With a sigh, she pulled the monitor to her and flipped the switch, hoping to see the Doctor standing on the other side looking up at the clouds as he was five minutes ago.
Instead, she looked and saw a bearded man standing outside, looking the other way. Was she hallucinating? Had she managed to move the Tardis? No, it still stood in the same spot where she was a moment ago. Shaking her head, Bailey slowly walked to the Tardis door. Walking outside, she froze. Yes, she was still in the exact same spot, but now she wasn't where she used to be. A horse drawn carriage rode past her with a man in a top hat sitting at the reigns. "Where am I?" She asked herself before running back into the Tardis. "What button did I press? What did I do?" She almost yelled as she frantically looked around the control tower. Nothing looked familiar. Nothing seemed to reach out at her as they had when she was fiddling around. "Great. I guess I'll go change and see where I am then." She told herself before walking into one of her closets and coming out in a timed dress. The corset fit snuggly against her, and she only hopped that she wasn't guessing the time period to be too early. She could deal with being last season's apparel, but would die if she was too early. Then she walked out of the Tardis to try to figure out what happened.
As soon as her foot left the door, the Tardis matrix kicked in and it disappeared; leaving Bailey in 1864 to deal with history by herself.
